Our AFM Vehicle Restraint System is an automated vehicle restraint designed to prevent vehicles from moving away from the loading dock during the loading and unloading process. The system is hydraulically operated and electrically connected with the loading dock’s management control. It can be mounted to a concrete dock yard slab and features a modular design and robust construction. The systems steel parts feature a hot-dipped galvanised finish.

When the restraint arm is in its home position, the vehicle’s path to the loading dock is clearly defined. The structure helps centre the approaching vehicle and guides it onto the dock bumpers. Once the vehicle is docked, an operative activates the restraining system, and the arm automatically engages with the vehicle’s rear wheel to prevent movement. The system is designed to be compatible with European trucks, with a focus on personnel safety.
