Wheel Chock
The Electronic Wheel Chock with signalling device provides essential safety at the loading ramp by preventing trucks from rolling away during loading and unloading. In compliance with professional safety regulations, the system ensures that a vehicle is securely immobilised before the dock leveller can be operated.
The integrated switch, activated when the chock is placed under the truck wheel, is directly linked to the dock leveller control. This interlock prevents the dock leveller from being used until the wheel is properly secured, effectively eliminating a major source of accidents. Once correctly positioned, the system switches the indoor traffic light to green, signalling that loading can begin safely.
During the loading process, if the wheel chock is removed and the truck attempts to drive away, the system immediately triggers a warning horn and switches the traffic light to red, alerting forklift drivers to the danger.
